“Please note: Parker County does not issue building permits or certificates of occupancy. However, prior to construction of any commercial or multifamily project, contact the Parker County Fire Marshal’s Office for fire and life safety review. When an inspection demonstrates full compliance, a Certificate of Compliance may be issued in accordance with Title 11, Subtitle B, Section 352.016 of the Local Government Code.”

Property owners or occupants are encouraged to submit project plans for review prior to construction or renovation, especially those who require a Certificate of Compliance for loan funding, insurance, or regulatory licensing.

Please be advised that there are no zoning requirements within unincorporated areas of Parker County.

The Permitting Department offers the following services:

        1. Regulates and permits on-site sewage facilities in the unincorporated area of Parker County

         2. Regulates all development within the special flood hazard areas in
             unincorporated Parker County

        3. Conducts complaint investigations regarding Health and Safety Code violations.

        4. Implements the storm water program
